SUPPORT THE REINTEGRATION SOCIO-PROFESSIONAL OF YOUTH MENTAL HOSPITAL PATIENTS IN JAMOT Yaoundé, CAMEROON.
Implementation Period: 12 months
Donation campaign goal: to reach € 32,000.00
This project provides for the treatment and rehabilitation of 30 youth who suffer from mental health through therapeutic follow-up and insertion over a period of local business practices (hairdressing, carpentry, mechanics, plumbing, landscaping, electricity). This project will ensure the purchase of medicines, a toolkit for young patients and logistical costs for their implementation..
The project introduces, in this sense, a new form of treatment of young schizophrenics with a greater impact on their employability. Should be noted that in Cameroon, currently, no known treatment experiences of young patients with mental health oriented outside the healthcare setting. The project is then set to a meeting between the health institution and civil society through the involvement of patients and their incorporation as member of a community with productive capacity.
